City of Watonga

Watonga is the county seat of Blaine County, located at the junction where State Highways 8 and 33 meet U.S. Highway 270. The Northwestern Oklahoma community grew from a tent city in the midst of the Cheyenne-Arapaho Reservation. It was part of a non-Indian settlement opened in a land run on April 19, 1892. The town was named for Arapaho Chief Wa-ton-gha, whose name meant Black Coyote. Contact: 580.623.4669

Watonga Tag Agency

At DMV.ORG, we want to make your life simpler. That’s why we’ve dedicated the last 15+ years to helping you navigate your local DMV agency without hassle or fuss. We take all the information found on each state’s DMV site and condense it down, so you can access everything you need from one convenient place.

We’re NOT your state agency.
Our goal is not to replace, but to help state agencies. We believe that by helping you find the forms, facts, and information you need, we lessen the stress and strain on state DMV agencies. We aim to shorten lines, reduce calls, and increase the number of informed consumers at the DMV office—which helps everyone stay happy.

We’re the largest driver-related site on the Web.
Launched in 1999, DMV.ORG was one of the first publishing sites on the Internet specifically designed to help drivers with DMV-related issues. Over 15 years later, we are now the largest driver-related site on the Web, helping over 1 billion visitors and counting. We are a member of the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating, and our Facebook page is growing daily with hundreds of thousands of fans!

Farm Credit Associations of Oklahoma began in 1917 after an act of Congress was implemented to ensure farmers would be able to obtain adequate financing for their operations. The associations were designed to directly assist farmers, ranchers, rural home residents and agri-businesses with all types of financing needs.

These associations are member-owned financial cooperatives, and part of the nationwide Farm Credit System. Our customers/members elect a board of directors, who then set policy. As a cooperative, they refund some earnings to members according to their patronage.

We serve all counties in Oklahoma and are active in all the communities in their lending territories.

Customer service is critical to our success. Not only do we aim to be competitive but also strive to provide the best service to members. We are constantly rated highly by members and work hard every day to earn their business.

We want members and potential members to think of them first when any financial need arises on their farm or ranch. We have a diverse range of financial products including financing everything from farmland to fertilizer, ranches and cattle to equipment, and anything in between. We will work with you to find the best financial package that works best for you.

Contact Scott Williams, your local Farm Credit Associations of Oklahoma affiliate today at OKFarmCredit.com and find out how we can help you finance your agricultural operation now and into the future.

Roman Nose State Park Lodge

Park hosts 11 cabins and Roman Nose Lodge features 22 guest rooms. The 22-room lodge, originally constructed in 1956, has been renovated to incorporate the natural landscape of the area. A restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner is located within the lodge.

Roman Nose State Park offers many breathtaking views of the canyon, gypsum rock cliffs and is home to three natural springs. Guests of Roman Nose Lodge will enjoy a wealth of recreational activities at the park’s 18-hole golf course, swimming pool, equestrian trails, hiking trails and two on-site lakes (Lake Boecher and Lake Watonga; Lake Watonga is currently under construction) Swimming in the lakes is not allowed, but guests can fish and boat in the no-wake lakes. Miniature golf, a general store and horse riding stables are all available. Rentals include canoes, kayaks and paddleboats. Group hayrides are available by reservation. T.B. Ferguson
Home Museum

T. B. Ferguson, Elva and two sons came to Watonga in October after the Cheyenne and Arapaho land opening in 1892 to publish a newspaper, The Watonga Republican, which is still in print today. Along with the 1901 Victorian Home there is the original Watonga jail. The artifacts on display in the home and on the grounds were donated by families in Blaine County.

The Friends of T.B. Ferguson Home Museum is a nonprofit organization that seeks to preserve the T.B. and Elva Ferguson Home, jail, and relay station as Historic Land Marks and interpret the early day lifestyles of a politician, newspaper owner, and pioneer from the establishment of the Cheyenne and Arapaho land opening in 1892 up to 1947.
